The group is comprised of approximately 50 volunteers working with Parks Victoria to restore Sherbrooke Forest to its original condition.  Join us!   We work together to selectively and gently remove weeds from the forest - plants which should not be there and which  (if left unchecked) crowd out native flora.  Restoration is based on weed eradication backed up by surveys of indigenous flora and fauna.

Can't tell a noxious weed from a treasured Australian native?  Don't let that stop you!  We'd be happy to share what we know.
Join us!

Some of us are experienced gardeners, some are not.  But we share a common interest in preserving the natural environment of our beautiful forest.  Our efforts are important to the continued growth of native plants which the animals of the forest (such as the lyrebirds) depend on for food and habitat.

We've already had a positive impact on the forest.  But there's so much left to do.  Join us!  Come out to one of our "weeding parties" and see how much fun you can have.

Sherbrooke Forest is a unique treasure of Australia.  There is nothing like this precious forest to be found anywhere on the planet.  It's up to you and me to keep it healthy and growing as nature intended.

Come along with us to experience the special satisfaction that comes from knowing you've done something that makes a difference today and for the years to come.
